What JellyFish, Trimlight and Gemstone lights cost in 2026

JellyFish Lighting publishes about $25 to $35 per foot installed, plus $650–850 for the controller, at its corporate locations, and says most homes spend $3,000 to $6,000 lighting the street-facing sides, about $4,600 on average. Trimlight publishes $18 to $35 per foot, and the example homes on its pricing page run $2,500 to $6,800 for the front and $5,400 to $14,500 for all sides. Gemstone publishes no price at all. EverLights, Oelo and Govee publish what their do-it-yourself kits cost.

We install Minleon. Track packages include the controller. We charge by the foot: simple, honest, no hidden fees. Your written quote spells out everything before any work starts. On average, permanent lights run about $3,000; smaller homes often cost less, and the free measure gives your exact written quote.

The short answer: every brand's published price

Minleon doesn't publish an installed price, so the Minleon row is ours as a Minleon installer. "Not published" means we looked and the brand doesn't say.

Read on each brand's own site on September 26, 2026. Dealers set local prices for Trimlight, JellyFish and Gemstone.

Already holding a quote from one of these brands? Call or text (360) 369-0936 to get ours for the same roofline.

Same house, brand by brand: 150, 220 and 320 feet

Roofline feet drive every one of these prices, so here are three example houses: a single-story ranch (150 ft, front elevation plus garage return), a two-story with gables (220 ft, front, gables and garage) and a large two-story, full wrap (320 ft, all four sides, gables and porch). Each row is arithmetic from that brand's published rate or list price. None of it is a quote.

The Minleon systems we install aren't in these rows: we price your exact roofline at the free measure.

Arithmetic from prices read September 26, 2026, not quotes. Installed rows include installation; Trimlight's controller may be extra. DIY rows are equipment only. All rows exclude tax, lifts, new outlets and anything a measure finds. *JellyFish says one controller runs about 263 feet of lights, so a longer job adds a power supply it doesn't price. EverLights at list price (150-ft bundle; 250-ft bundle; 300-ft bundle plus a 50-ft add-on); the shop showed them 20% off when we checked. Govee: one 200-ft kit; one 200-ft kit and one 100-ft kit; two 200-ft kits.

Both brands also publish whole-house totals, and for the front of a house they land close together: JellyFish says most homes spend $3,000 to $6,000 on the street-facing sides, and the example homes on Trimlight's pricing page run $2,500 to $6,800 for the front. Lighting all sides of Trimlight's examples runs $5,400 to $14,500.

Line items that change the total

Beyond the per-foot rate, these are the lines that move a total. Check each one on every quote:

  • Controllers and power. JellyFish lists $650–850 per controller, and one runs about 263 feet of lights; past that it adds power supplies, which it says cost less than a controller. Trimlight's pricing page says the controller may or may not be in the per-foot price. Our track packages include the controller, power supplies and app setup; C9 Classic, bistro and tree wrap carry a separate system line instead.
  • Spacing. Closer spacing puts more lights on the same roofline. JellyFish says its 6-inch spacing has 50% more lights than its 9-inch standard. Our Deep Pebble Track costs more per foot at 6 inches, two lights to the foot, than at 12.
  • Lifts and access. High gables and steep sections take more time or a lift. We quote a lift as its own line before install day.
  • Electrical work. If the controller needs a new outlet, it should appear as its own line on every quote you compare.
  • Service after year one. Trimlight's warranty terms allow a minimum $75 service fee when a technician is called out and the parts work, and after the dealer's labor coverage ends a repair visit can cost labor even when the part is covered. JellyFish, Gemstone and Oelo each cover labor for the first year.
  • Tax. Our per-foot price is before tax. Ask every installer whether theirs is.

Warranty-adjusted cost: parts, labor and a house sale

A long parts warranty only saves money if someone is covered to fit the part. Here is what each brand publishes; our warranty guide covers what to get in writing.

From each brand's warranty pages, read September 26, 2026. Trimlight and Gemstone require registration within 30 days of installation, and Trimlight's spec pages say daytime use may void its warranty.

Say a light fails in year three. Under most of these warranties the part is still covered; the bigger difference is who pays for the visit. Put a price on that visit when you compare quotes.

DIY kits: price per foot, and what you add

Govee, EverLights and Oelo publish prices for lights you install yourself. The price is equipment only, and per foot it runs from about $2.80 (Govee's 150-ft kit) to $36.30 (Oelo's 25-ft kit):

  • Govee: the Permanent Outdoor Lights 2 runs $179.99 to $419.99 for 50 to 150 ft; the Pro $439.99 to $759.99 for 100 to 200 ft; the 2 Pro $499.99 for 100 ft or $799.99 for 200 ft ($4.00/ft); and the Prism $699.99 for 150 ft or $859.99 for 200 ft. Govee caps one system at 150 ft for the 2 and 200 ft for the Pro.
  • EverLights ClickLights: bundles list at $1,050 for 50 ft ($21.00/ft) to $4,175 for 300 ft ($13.92/ft), and the shop showed them 20% off when we checked. The 100-ft bundle lists aluminum channel, caps, the Smart Bridge and a 24V power supply.
  • Oelo: kits from $907.51 for 25 ft to $1,779.73 for 75 ft with acrylic covers and a control unit, $36.30 down to $23.73 per foot. Oelo also sells its own installation, $2,000 to $6,000 by kit size and zone.
  • JellyFish and Trimlight: JellyFish sells DIY kits but doesn't publish the price. Trimlight's FAQ says a DIY kit from one of its dealers voids the lifetime product warranty.
What you add is the ladder work, your time and every repair visit after that. On a simple, reachable roofline a kit can be the right buy; our Govee comparison walks through the trade-off.

Who sells what in Clark County and Portland

Local sellers rarely post prices. The Trimlight dealer pages for Woodland and Portland list none, and JellyFish labels its published range as corporate-location pricing.

  • Trimlight: dealer pages for Woodland, WA, whose service list includes Vancouver, Camas, Battle Ground, Ridgefield, Washougal, La Center and Yacolt, and for Portland, OR, whose list includes Portland, Beaverton, Gresham, Hillsboro and Troutdale. Neither lists a price. Trimlight's FAQ says the dealer, not Trimlight, handles installation and repairs.
  • JellyFish: its install locations page lists Vancouver, WA, Portland and Hillsboro. The corporate locations on that page are in Utah, Colorado, Texas and Florida, and JellyFish says authorized dealers set their own prices, so ask whoever quotes you locally whether the published range applies.
  • Gemstone: its Vancouver, WA page said a dealer was still "getting organized" when we checked on September 26, 2026. Gemstone requires installation by an authorized dealer.
  • EverLights, Oelo and Govee: all three sell kits online. Oelo prices its factory installation by zone; EverLights doesn't publish an installed price; Govee is retail only.
  • Minleon: we install it across Clark County and the Portland suburbs; the next section covers how we price it.

How we price, and what's included

We install Minleon RGBW+2 lights: Pebble Track, C9 Track, D35 Puck Track and Deep Pebble Track in custom-cut aluminum track, and Magnetic Pebble, which mounts on a steel drip edge with no track. The controller, power supplies and app setup are included. C9 Classic on clips adds a separate control-system line. We charge by the foot: simple, honest, no hidden fees. Your written quote spells out everything before any work starts. On average, permanent lights run about $3,000; smaller homes often cost less, and the free measure gives your exact written quote.

The Minleon pebbles and pucks we install carry a dedicated warm-white diode (about 3000K, per Minleon's datasheets) alongside red, green and blue, so the everyday setting is a true warm white rather than a mix. Trimlight lists its Classic and 3L lights as RGB, and JellyFish lists three RGB diodes per light.

New installations can qualify for up to $500 off; the amount depends on project size and is confirmed in your written quote.

Book a free measure and we'll price your exact roofline, or see the pricing page first.

How to compare two quotes line by line

Put the quotes side by side and check them in this order:

  • Feet. Installed prices are per foot, so confirm both quotes measured the same runs.
  • Model and spacing. Trimlight Classic or 3L? JellyFish at 6, 9 or 16 inches? Pebble or puck? Closer spacing means more lights on the same roofline.
  • Controller and power. Is the controller in the per-foot price or a separate line? How many feet does it run, and are extra power supplies included?
  • White light. Ask for a warm-white demo at the brightness you'd use every night.
  • Track in daylight. Ask to see the channel in your fascia color.
  • Access and electrical. Lifts, steep sections and any new outlet should be listed, not found on install day.
  • Warranty in writing. Parts term, labor term, service-call fees, the registration deadline and what happens if you sell.
  • Who services it. The installer, a dealer network or the manufacturer? Get a name and a number on the quote.
  • Tax and the total. Compare bottom lines, with tax, for the same scope.

Questions this guide gets

How much does JellyFish Lighting cost?
JellyFish's pricing page says about $25 to $35 per foot installed plus $650–850 for the controller at its corporate locations; its FAQ says about $25 to $30 plus $650. Its cost article puts most homes at $3,000 to $6,000 for the street-facing sides, about $4,600 on average. Authorized dealers set their own prices.
How much does Trimlight cost?
Trimlight publishes $18 to $35 per linear foot, with most residential projects between $2,000 and $6,000 or more. The three example homes on its pricing page run $2,500 to $6,800 for the front and $5,400 to $14,500 for all sides. The same page says the controller and installation may or may not be rolled into the per-foot price; the local dealer sets it.
Why do JellyFish quotes for similar houses differ so much?
JellyFish's published range is for installs by its corporate locations, and it says authorized dealers operate independently and set their own prices. Its pricing page adds that installation difficulty, location and time of year affect the price. Totals also move with spacing (6, 9 or 16 inches) and with the controllers (one runs about 263 feet of lights, and longer jobs add power supplies). Compare quotes for the same measured feet and spacing.
How much do Gemstone Lights cost?
Gemstone doesn't publish a price. Its FAQ says the cost depends on linear feet and your local dealer's rate. When we checked on September 26, 2026, Gemstone's Vancouver, WA page said a dealer was still getting organized.
How much do EverLights cost?
EverLights doesn't publish an installed price. Its ClickLights DIY bundles list at $1,050 for 50 feet up to $4,175 for 300 feet, and the shop showed them 20% off when we checked on September 26, 2026. That's equipment only, before your time and any help.
What's the cheapest way to get permanent Christmas lights?
A DIY kit: Govee's Permanent Outdoor Lights 2 lists at $179.99 for 50 feet, and you do the installing. Installed, our C9 Classic on clips costs less per foot than our track systems, with a separate control-system line and the wire visible by day. We charge by the foot: simple, honest, no hidden fees. Your written quote spells out everything before any work starts. On average, permanent lights run about $3,000; smaller homes often cost less, and the free measure gives your exact written quote.
Is the controller included in the per-foot price?
It depends on the brand. JellyFish lists it separately at $650–850. Trimlight says it may or may not be included. Our track packages include it; C9 Classic on clips adds a separate control-system line.
