Permanent lighting in Hockinson
Hockinson sits higher and colder than the rest of Clark County, and the custom homes on acreage up here get a real winter: ice, wind off the foothills, and a few inches of snow most years. That is the environment permanent lighting was built for and seasonal strands were not. The homes are large, 240 to 360 feet of roofline with tall gables and covered porches, usually with a shop, and there is no HOA to consult. Most Hockinson owners buy the brighter packages because the houses sit far back and the nights are darker than in town.
From $32 per foot, controller included. Free measure anywhere in Hockinson, usually within three days.

Homes and rooflines here
Fascia is often stained cedar or painted composite; drip edge on custom homes is a coin flip between steel and aluminum, so the magnet test at the measure decides whether the shop or even the house goes magnetic. Snow slides on metal roofs are a real consideration: on steel roofs we keep lights on the drip edge, never on the roof surface, so sliding snow passes over them.

What it costs here
Typical Hockinson homes we measure run 220 to 360 feet of lit roofline. That range in the two packages we recommend most here, controller included.
| Package | Rate | 220 ft | 360 ft | ≈ Monthly at 360 ft |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Deep Pebble Track | $37/ft | $8,140 | $13,320 | $1,146/mo |
| Magnetic Pebble | $35/ft | $7,700 | $12,600 | $1,084/mo |
Monthly is a 12-month, 5.9% APR example. Running cost on Clark Public Utilities at 8.79¢/kWh: about $1.37 a month for 360 pebbles at four hours a night.
Ice and snow on the roofline
Ice builds on the drip edge before anywhere else. A track system tolerates it because the strand is inside a bonded channel with snap covers and nothing to break off; the pebbles and pucks are sealed, rated IP66, and rated by Minleon to -20°C. Seasonal C9 strands on clips in Hockinson tend to lose clips under ice load, which is why we recommend permanent on exposed rooflines here and seasonal only on sheltered eaves.
Two packages that fit

Deep Pebble Track
Minleon's brightest pebble in channel. Pick 6, 12 or 15-inch spacing.

Magnetic Pebble
Deep pebbles that stick to a steel drip edge. No track, no covers, no tape.
