Holiday lights · Clark County, WA

Christmas lights in Vancouver, WA and Clark County: the 2026 map

The short answer: start with these, then use the map below for everything else.

  • Biggest free display: Holidays on Franklin, about 10 neighboring homes at NW 46th St and NW Franklin St. It ran nightly Dec 1–30, 5–10 p.m. in 2025; 2026 dates aren't out yet.
  • Lights set to music: Christmas Lights on 96th Street in east Vancouver, and Ridgefield Lights of Sound, which plays its soundtrack on your car radio. Neither has posted 2026 dates.
  • On the river: the Christmas Ships sail past the Vancouver waterfront on Dec 3, 11 and 16, 2026, and both fleets visit Camas and Washougal on Sat Dec 5.
  • Tree lightings: Vancouver, Washougal, Camas and Battle Ground light their trees between Nov 27 and Dec 4, and Ridgefield's Hometown Celebration is Sat Dec 5. See all 2026 dates.
  • Drive-through: we found no dedicated drive-through light show inside Clark County last season. The closest is Winter Wonderland at Portland International Raceway, about 10 minutes across the I-5 bridge in light traffic (Nov 27–Dec 31, 2026).

Below is every display and event we could check, on a map and in a list: home light shows whose owners invite visitors, neighborhood streets, tree lightings, Christmas Ships viewing spots and the bigger shows worth the drive. Each listing shows what's confirmed for 2026, what happened in 2025, the cost, directions and where the facts came from. For the big ones, read our guides to Holidays on Franklin, the Christmas Ships schedule, drive-through Christmas lights and Portland Christmas lights.

Tips for visiting
  • It's a walk-by or drive-by display, not a drive-through. Walkers stay on the sidewalk or inside the cones, and drivers pull over instead of stopping in the street (organizer FAQ).
  • Park legally on nearby streets without blocking driveways. The organizer also points visitors to the school parking lot on Franklin Street after school hours.
  • Mostly wheelchair and stroller friendly. A few homes have gravel in front, so view those from the sidewalk across the street. Leashed pets are welcome.
  • It isn't on a bus line (organizer FAQ).
  • In 2025 the special nights drew the biggest crowds: Santa and the Grinch on Dec 23, and artificial snow on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Plan a night out

Stops that fit one evening, or one long weekend, using the dates posted so far.

  • Downtown Vancouver, Fri Nov 27: the Christmas Ships escort Santa and Mrs. Claus to the Grant Street Pier from 4 p.m., and the tree in Esther Short Park is lit at 6. Visit Vancouver WA says city lots near the park open by 3 p.m., and some ask a $5 parking donation.
  • A waterfront ships night plus Franklin (Dec 3, 11 or 16): the organizer estimates the boats pass the Grant Street Pier around 7:50 p.m. Holidays on Franklin stayed lit until 10 p.m. in 2025, so if it keeps those hours, you can see both.
  • Camas and Washougal, Dec 3–5: Washougal's lighted parade starts at 6 p.m. on Thu Dec 3, Camas lights its tree at 5 p.m. on Fri Dec 4, and both Christmas Ships fleets parade off the Port of Camas-Washougal from 6 p.m. on Sat Dec 5.
  • North county, Dec 4–5: Battle Ground lights its tree at 6:15 p.m. on Fri Dec 4. On Sat Dec 5, Ridgefield holds its Hometown Celebration and La Center its lighted Christmas parade; neither has posted 2026 times yet.
  • East Portland, over the I-205 bridge: The Grotto and Starkwood are both close to the bridge, so they pair well. Neither has posted 2026 hours; in 2025 The Grotto ran 5–9:30 p.m. and Starkwood stayed lit until 11.
  • Longview and Kelso: GLO Light Experience and Kelso's Lights in the Park are less than 2 miles apart, so both fit in one evening when their dates overlap. GLO runs Dec 4–6, 11–13 and 18–24; Kelso's Dec 10 start is tentative.

Worth the drive from Vancouver

Portland's big shows are close, and two small drive-throughs up I-5 are easy to miss. Drive times are routing estimates from Esther Short Park with no traffic, so leave extra time on December evenings.

The I-5 Interstate Bridge can open for river traffic on weekday evenings after 6 p.m. and on weekends, since WSDOT limits lifts only during weekday rush hours (WSDOT). If a lift would cost you your ticket time, the I-205 bridge is the backup. More in our guides to drive-through lights and Portland Christmas lights.

How this map is checked

  • Every listing links to the sources we read: the organizer's own page first, then city pages, event listings and local news.
  • 2025 details are labeled 2025. We add 2026 dates as organizers post them, and each listing shows the day we last checked it.
  • A private home's address appears only when the homeowner or host publishes it for visitors. Otherwise we list the street or neighborhood, or leave the home off.
  • We write our own descriptions. Other lists helped us find displays, and each one was then checked at the source.

Last updated September 25, 2026. Plans change, especially with weather, so check the official page before you head out.

Clark County Christmas lights questions

Where are the best Christmas lights in Vancouver, WA?
For a big free display, start with Holidays on Franklin, about 10 homes at NW 46th St and NW Franklin St (in 2025: nightly Dec 1–30, 5–10 p.m.). For lights set to music, look up Christmas Lights on 96th Street in east Vancouver and Ridgefield Lights of Sound near Salmon Creek; neither has posted 2026 dates yet. Watch the Christmas Ships from the downtown waterfront on Dec 3, 11 or 16, 2026. For a big ticketed show, Winter Wonderland at Portland International Raceway is about 10 minutes across the I-5 bridge in light traffic.
Is there a drive-through Christmas light show in Vancouver or Clark County?
Not a dedicated one that we could find last season. The only drive-through experience we found inside Clark County in 2025 was a three-night live Nativity on NE 119th St (Dec 19–21). The closest drive-through light show is Winter Wonderland at Portland International Raceway (Nov 27–Dec 31, 2026, priced per car). Up I-5, GLO Light Experience in Longview and Kelso Rotary Lights in the Park are each about 50 minutes away with no traffic.
When do the Christmas Ships come to Vancouver in 2026?
The boats escort Santa to the Grant Street Pier on Fri Nov 27, 4–5 p.m. Vancouver waterfront nights are Thu Dec 3 (both fleets), Fri Dec 11 and Wed Dec 16; the fleet leaves Portland at 7 p.m. and the organizer estimates it passes the pier around 7:50. Wintler Park nights are Mon Dec 7 and Fri Dec 18, and both fleets visit the Port of Camas-Washougal on Sat Dec 5 at 6 p.m. Weather or river debris can cancel a sailing, so check christmasships.org before you go.
When are the Christmas tree lightings in Clark County in 2026?
Vancouver's community tree lighting is Fri Nov 27, 4–6:30 p.m. in Esther Short Park: Santa arrives by tugboat with a Christmas Ships escort, and the tree is lit at 6 p.m. Washougal's lighted parade and tree lighting is Thu Dec 3 from 5 p.m. Camas lights its downtown tree at 5 p.m. on Fri Dec 4, and Battle Ground's lighting is the same night, 5:30–8:30 p.m., with the tree lit at 6:15. Ridgefield's Hometown Celebration is Sat Dec 5, with times still to come from the city. La Center's festival site lists its tree lighting for Dec 6 without a year, and Hockinson and Yacolt haven't posted 2026 dates.
When is Holidays on Franklin open in 2026?
The organizers haven't posted 2026 dates yet. In 2025 the lights were on nightly Dec 1–30, 5–10 p.m., and visiting was free. We add dates to this map as organizers post them.
Are there Christmas lights in Camas, Battle Ground or Ridgefield?
Yes. Camas holds Hometown Holidays downtown on Fri Dec 4, 2026, and both Christmas Ships fleets parade off the Port of Camas-Washougal on Sat Dec 5 at 6 p.m. Battle Ground lights its tree on Fri Dec 4, and in 2025 the city's Battle of Lights contest put every registered home on an online map; the 2026 contest hasn't been announced. Ridgefield has its Hometown Celebration on Sat Dec 5, plus Circle of Trees in Overlook Park (open Dec 6–29 in 2025, except Dec 12), the Candy Cane Lane cul-de-sac (event night Dec 7 in 2025) and the Lights of Sound home show. None of those three has posted 2026 dates.
Which Christmas lights near Vancouver are free?
Most of them. Holidays on Franklin, the Christmas Ships, the Vancouver, Washougal and Ridgefield tree lightings, Circle of Trees in Ridgefield and Peacock Lane in Portland are free. ZooLights and GLO in Longview charge admission, The Grotto charged admission in 2025 and hasn't posted 2026 prices, Winter Wonderland charges per car, and Kelso's Lights in the Park suggests a $5 donation per car.
Which displays work for wheelchairs, strollers and dogs?
Holidays on Franklin is mostly wheelchair and stroller friendly, with gravel in front of a few homes, and leashed pets are welcome. Visit Vancouver WA says Vancouver Waterfront Park and the Renaissance Trail, the main places to watch the Christmas Ships, are ADA accessible, and so is Steamboat Landing Park in Washougal. In Portland, The Grotto's paths are paved with a few slopes and it lends wheelchairs, and Peacock Lane welcomes leashed dogs. Dogs can ride in the car at Winter Wonderland, and its Lights & Leashes walking nights (Nov 30 and Dec 1, 2026) welcome leashed dogs.
When is the best time to go, and how do I avoid the crowds?
At Holidays on Franklin, the special nights drew the biggest crowds in 2025 (Santa on Dec 23, and snow on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day), so a weeknight earlier in December should be calmer. That's our suggestion, not the organizers'. Winter Wonderland says waits can reach an hour on weekends and peak nights (Dec 18–25 in 2026) and suggests arriving in the first hour after opening or after 9 p.m. Peacock Lane's residents say crowds thin after Dec 25. For the Christmas Ships, get to the waterfront early, since parking and the best spots fill fast.
What radio station do the musical light shows use?
It depends on the display. Ridgefield Lights of Sound used FM 106.3 in 2024, per its host. Kelso's Lights in the Park posts its station on signs at the park, and the live Nativity on NE 119th St narrated over FM radio in 2025. Check each listing's official page before you go.
Can I add my house to the map?
We only show a private home's address when the homeowner publishes it for visitors. We're planning a Best Lights in Clark County contest for this season, where entrants could choose to be on the map. Details are coming soon.
Any tips for visiting a home display?
Park legally and leave driveways clear, keep the noise down and stay on the sidewalk. If you're driving past, pull over instead of stopping in the street, and follow any headlight rules the hosts post.
