Permanent lighting in West Linn

Homes in Rosemont, Hidden Springs and Tanner Creek sit on slopes with a street elevation that is often garage and entry, and a downhill elevation with the big windows, decks and the view over the Willamette or Tualatin. Most of West Linn's hillside subdivisions were built from the 1980s through the 2010s and carry HOAs with architectural review. Fascia is painted wood or composite; aluminum drip edge is standard, so channel on the fascia is the mount. Historic Willamette homes have painted wood fascia and bargeboards where a channel needs careful color matching.

Hilltop wind exposure
Rosemont and the ridge above Hidden Springs take more wind than the flats along the river. On a track install that changes nothing, because the strand is inside a bonded channel. On seasonal strands it changes a lot: we hang with a clip on every bulb and route cord behind the drip edge on exposed corners, and we'll say at the measure if a run is a poor bet for seasonal lights.
