C9 Classic

Full-color C9 bulbs on clips, the way Christmas lights have always been hung. Our lowest-cost permanent option.

Same full-color C9 bulb as C9 Track, without the channel. The strand clips to the shingle edge or gutter with standard clips and stays up year-round, controlled from the same app.

It's the entry point into permanent lighting: $12 per foot plus a $495 system line, with a $1,500 minimum. A 150-foot ranch lands around $2,300.

How it's installed

One clip per bulb on the shingle edge, gutter lip or fascia, so no adhesive and no channel. The green wire is visible by day, exactly like a seasonal strand.

Controller, schedules and scenes are identical to the track packages, and you can upgrade to C9 Track later using the same bulbs.

C9 Classic questions

Why is C9 Classic so much cheaper than the track packages?
No channel, no covers, no tape and about half the install time. You give up the hidden wire and the clean daytime look.
Can I upgrade to track later?
Yes. The bulbs and controller carry over. You pay the difference for channel, covers and the track install.
Is it HOA-friendly?
It looks like a strand of Christmas lights left up, which some HOAs restrict outside the holiday window. If you're in an HOA, the track packages are easier to get approved.

How to measure your roofline in Google Maps
  1. Open Google Maps, search your address, switch to satellite view.
  2. Right-click on a roof corner and choose Measure distance.
  3. Click each corner along the roof edges you want lit. The total in feet shows at the bottom.
  4. Add about 15% for gables you can't see from above. That is your number.
