Gemstone Lights vs Minleon: the brightest-on-paper system against the one you can price
Gemstone Lights publishes the most complete spec sheet of the dealer brands: 46 lumens per light, IP67, a lifetime warranty on lights and ten years on everything else. It publishes no price at all, and the corporate page for Vancouver, Washington was a dead link when we checked.
Gemstone's published spec next to Minleon's.

Where Gemstone is stronger
Almost every published spec. More diodes per light, a published 46 lumens, IP67, aluminum track in more colors, a lifetime warranty on the lights and ten years on the rest, and a controller that runs thousands of lights with music sync and voice control. On paper this is the best-specified dealer system we compared.
Where Minleon is stronger
You can price it. Gemstone publishes nothing; every quote starts with a visit. Ours starts with a number on your phone.
You can mount it four ways. Gemstone is track only. On a steel-roofed shop in Battle Ground or a Douglas fir in Lake Oswego, we have a product that fits; a track-only system does not.
You're not tied to a dealer territory. Minleon parts are retail; any Minleon installer can service the system.
What the lumens mean
Gemstone's 46 lumens at 9-inch spacing is about 61 lumens per foot. Minleon's D35 puck at 28 lumens on 12-inch spacing is 28 per foot, or 84 at 4-inch spacing. Brightness per foot is a spacing decision as much as a light decision, and it's adjustable in the app; most owners run 40 to 60 percent nightly regardless of system.
Our verdict
If a top-of-market spec sheet and a lifetime light warranty are worth an unpublished price and a single mounting method, Gemstone is a strong choice and we'll tell you that at the measure. If you want to know the number first and have a house, shop or tree that needs something other than track, that's us.
