Game day, Halloween and patriotic scenes for your roofline

Scenes are the fun part. Once the system is on the house, any color combination is a saved scene in the app, and a scene takes about two minutes to build. We set up the ones you ask for at install and you add the rest.

Below are the recipes people in Clark County and Portland ask for most.

Game day

Seahawks: college navy, action green and white, alternating. Timbers: ponderosa green and gold. Trail Blazers: red, black and white. Ducks: green and yellow. Beavers: orange and black. Cougars: crimson and gray. Huskies: purple and gold. Kraken: deep sea blue, ice blue and red.

Static alternating patterns read best on game day; a slow chase on the garage eave is the most people use.

Halloween

Orange and purple alternating is the classic. Add a green accent on the garage and a flicker in the last week. A wrapped tree in orange does more for Halloween than any roofline pattern.

Patriotic

Red, white and blue in a three-color repeat for Memorial Day, Flag Day, the Fourth and Veterans Day. A slow fade between the three is the most requested variant.

Everything else

Pride, graduation in school colors, birthdays, a new baby in pink or blue, Diwali, Hanukkah in blue and white, Valentine's in red and pink. If it has a color, it's a scene.

Questions

Can I schedule scenes by date?
Yes. Each scene can be tied to a date range and a nightly time window, so Halloween runs October 24 to 31 on its own.
How exact are the colors?
The app sets RGB values, so team colors can be matched closely. White is a dedicated diode, so 'white' in a pattern is a true white.
Do patterns work on gables?
Static and fade patterns do. Chase patterns look busy on cut-up rooflines, so we usually run them on straight eaves only.

How to measure your roofline in Google Maps
  1. Open Google Maps, search your address, switch to satellite view.
  2. Right-click on a roof corner and choose Measure distance.
  3. Click each corner along the roof edges you want lit. The total in feet shows at the bottom.
  4. Add about 15% for gables you can't see from above. That is your number.
