Everyday accent lighting: a warm-white roofline 365 nights a year
Most of the year, permanent lighting is not about holidays. It's the soft warm-white line along the eaves that makes the house look finished after dark, the way landscape lighting does for the yard. The Minleon RGBW+2 light has a dedicated white diode, so warm white is a true 2700K-style white rather than a mix of colors.
Dimmed to 40 or 50 percent it reads as downlighting on the fascia and does not compete with porch and landscape fixtures.

Which lines to light
Eaves and gables are the frame. Columns, the entry canopy and the garage eave are the accents. On a modern home with flat fascia the D35 puck in a dark track reads as a row of clean lenses; on a craftsman or farmhouse, pebbles or C9s in a matched channel keep the traditional look.
We usually leave soffit undersides, ridges and valleys alone. Lighting every line flattens the house; lighting the outline gives it depth.
Color temperature and brightness
The app lets you pick warm white, neutral or cool white and set brightness per zone. We set a nightly schedule at the measure: dusk to 11pm at 50 percent is the most common. Security-minded owners run dusk to dawn at 30 percent.
Resale and curb appeal
Permanent lighting stays with the house, and listing photos taken at dusk with the roofline lit are a real advantage. It's a fixture, not a decoration, and it shows as one.
